Psychotropic medications

Long habituated to psychotropic medication, many people find withdrawal and readjustment difficult.

I think that psychotropic medication pulls a safe patina or cover over "severe depression" and "trauma" but that the underlying problem or problems must resolve themselves quietly and unobtrusively before withdrawal of this artificial relief becomes possible.

Medication?

Like law,"a shield, not a sword" (with an apology to John Stannard,Tutor in Criminal Law,Q.U.B.,1980-81). As he repeated, after the old legal canard,"... until Reason regains its throne.."
